Computer Training Classes Policy

The library offers a variety of hands-on computer training courses.

A. Registration

a. Customers must register in advance for each class to guarantee a seat in the class. Customers register using the website event calendar at www.ebpl.org or in person at the library. All customers must present proof of registration from the library website to the class instructor before s/he will be permitted to attend the class.

b. The library will maintain a waitlist for classes that fill up. Waltlisted registrants will be notified by email and/or telephone as soon as there is a vacancy in a class. They will have 24 hours to respond to the notification. lf they do not respond within that time frame, the next person on the waiting fist will be notified.

B. Fees

a. Introductory or Level One classes are free. Classes for children and teens are free. All computer training classes that are Level Two, Intermediate, or Advanced are $10 for East Brunswick llbrary cardholders and $15 for non-cardholders. Speciallzed computer training classes offered through the Business Resource Center are priced as advertised.

b. All registrants must pay when they register for a class. Customers that register for classes through the llbrary's website must submit payment at that time. Customers that register in the library must submit payment at that time or they will not be registered. Each training class participant must present personal identification to the class instructor to verify they registered before s/he will be permitted to attend the class.

C. Cancellations/Refunds

a. Fees for computer class registrations are NOT refundable, so be aware that you are making a definite commitment to attend a class when you register.

b. If the library has to cancel a class any fees will be credited towards attendance of a future computer training class, but no refunds will be issued.

D. Continuing Education Credit

a. The library will provide proof of course completion for students to supply to their employers for any class taken. Directions are available on the library's website, http://www.ebpl.org/maln/srv_comp_training.cfm.

E. Unemployment Exemption

a. Upon request, the library will exempt East Brunswick registrants who are currently unemployed from the class fees. The request must be submitted to the library webmaster/training department by sending an email via the Contact the Trainers link in each event prior to attendance at each class. Proof of unemployment Is required.
